O Antiphons, part VI

Today's antiphon is O Rex Gentium.

Latin:
O Rex Gentium
et desideratus earum,
lapisque angularis
qui facis utraque unum:
veni, et salva hominem,
quem de limo formasti.

English translation:
O King of the Nations
and the one they desired,
keystone
who makes both peoples one,
come and save mankind,
whom you shaped from the mud.

English paraphrase from "O Come, O Come Emmanuel":
O come, Desire of Nations, bind
In one the hearts of humankind;
O bid our sad divisions cease,
And be for us our King of Peace.
