O Antiphons, part II

Today's antiphon is O Adonai.

Latin:
O Adonai
et dux domus Israel,
qui Moyse in igne flammae rubi apparuisti
et ei in Sina legem dedisti:
veni ad redimendum nos in brachio extento.

English translation:
O Mighty Lord
and leader of the house of Israel,
who appeared to Moses in the burning bush,
and on Sinai gave him the law
come to redeem us with outstretched arm.

English paraphrase from "O Come, O Come Emmanuel":
O Come, O come, O Lord of might,
Who to your tribes on Sinai's height
In ancient times once gave the law
In cloud and majesty and awe.
